The University of Toronto Varsity Blues track and field team hosted their annual Fred Foot Classic, January 16-17, at the Athletic Centre Field House.

Leading Toronto's women were Katia Vasilyeva, Jenna Kelsall and Ekua Cudjoe with first-place finishes in the high jump, pole vault and weight throw events.
Brittany Salmon placed second behind Kelsall in the women's pole vault, while other second-place finishes came from Jessica Caterini in the 60m hurdles, Kelly Hennessy in the 3000m and Julia Stille in long jump.
Chisomo McHaina, Carolyn Adams and each placed third in 60m, 60m hurdles and 300m sprint races.
In men's action, Marc McGuire and Alex Lau led the Blues with top finishes in the triple jump and 300m events, respectively.
Bashir Khan placed second in the high jump and third in the triple jump, while Adam Karakolis was second in the weight throw and third in shot put.
Emil Larsson placed second in the pole vault, with Brian Li and James Turner earning third-place finishes in the 60m hurdles and high jump competitions.Â
