BLUES HOST RMC, QUEEN’S IN MUST WINS THIS WEEKEND

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's and women's soccer teams take on the RMC Paladins and Queen's Gaels this Saturday and Sunday, respectively, at Varsity Centre.
 
The women start the action at 1 p.m., with the men to follow at 3:15 p.m., on both days. All four games will be streamed live on OUA.tv.  Admission is free.
 
Toronto's women are 3-1-1 and coming off a big 4-1 victory over the Ryerson Rams last Sunday. Second-year midfielder Claudia Piazza leads the Blues with three goals, while veteran goalkeeper Sara Petrucci has allowed just one goal against in five games.
 
The Queen's Gaels are also 3-1-1, making Sunday's contest a battle for third place, while RMC is 0-4-1 to start the season.
 
The Blues men are in a similar situation, sitting at 3-2-1 and in fourth place in the OUA East. Fifth-year striker Kilian Elkinson leads the OUA with seven goals in six games, while sophomore midfielder Nikolay Saveliev had notched two so far this season.
 
Queen's is ranked eighth nationally and sits atop the OUA East with a 5-0-1 record. Striker Jacob Schroeter leads the Gaels with four goals. RMC is 1-4-0 and in eighth in the East.
