GAELS GET PAST BLUES

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team fell 3-1 to the Queen's Gaels on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 22) in Kingston, Ont.
 
With the loss, the Blues drop to 1-3-1 on the year, while the Gaels improve to 3-2-1.
 
Second-year Queen's midfielder William Twardek opened the scoring in the 31st minute and fellow Ottawa native Chris Michael added another in the 44th minute to give the Gaels  2-0 lead at half.

Fifth-year veteran Lucas Azeredo Lobo of Kingston, Ont., extended the lead to three in the 55th minute. Blues striker Killian Elkinson was able to break the shut out in the 71st minute, but the Blues could not find the back of the net again
.
The Varsity Blues return to action this Wednesday night as they head to Peterborough, Ont., to take on the Trent Excalibur. Game time is set for 8:15 p.m.
