The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's basketball team hosts the Laurier Golden Hawks and Waterloo Warriors (Nov. 8-9) in their 2013-14 home opening weekend at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym.
Game time on both nights is set for 6 p.m. Advanced tickets are on sale
here and both games will be streamed live via GoBlues.tv.
The Blues are 0-2 to start the season after two tough losses to the McMaster Marauders and Brock Badgers this past weekend.
Fourth-year guard Jill Stratton of Etobicoke, Ont., leads the team with 11.5 points per game, while fifth-year veteran Alicia Van Kampen (Amaranth, Ont.) averages 6.0 points and a team-high 7.0 boards after two games so far this season.
 Laurier is 2-0 after handily defeating the Algoma Thunder birds and Laurentian Voyageurs, while Waterloo is 1-1. The Warriors opened the season with a 67-49 loss to Laurentian before topping Algoma 61-40.
Third-year guard Samantha Jacobs leads Laurier with 10.0 points per game, while veteran Lee Anna Osei has posted a team-high 15 rebounds in two games.
Rookie guard Kristen Osborne is off to a good start in her OUA career, leading the Warriors with 14.5 points per game. Martin Killeen has also averaged 11.5 points and seven boards so far this season.Â
