The University of Toronto Varsity Blues opened the 2013 OUA men's water polo championship with a big 22-1 victory over the Queen's Gaels on Friday night (Nov. 29) at Varsity Pool.

First-year standout Gorast Tasevski (Skopje, Macedonia) led all players with five goals, while veteran Marko Brasic added four on the night. Tuna Tali and Alan Chung each scored three, with Matthew Hart and Luke Spooner notching two apiece. Tanner Regan, Stefan Djordjevic and Emre Tali added single tallies in the win.

The Blues return to action tomorrow when they wrap up pool play versus the Ottawa Gee-Gees at 5 p.m. Toronto will be vying for a spot in the gold medal match, scheduled for Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
