The two-time OUA defending champion University of Toronto Varsity Blues field hockey team played to a scoreless draw with the Guelph Gryphons, before defeating the Western Mustangs 5-2 on Sunday (Oct. 6) in Kingston, Ont.
The Blues remain atop the OUA standings with an undefeated 9-0-1 record.
After tying the Gryphons, the Blues rallied and bounced back versus the Mustangs.
OUA leading scorer Ally Evanyshyn scored two goals, with Tegan Stairs, Emma Stairs and Alison Lee adding one each in the win.
The Varsity Blues return to action this Friday, October 11 as they host the Queen's Gaels at Varsity Centre. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
