The University of Toronto Varsity Blues field hockey team defeated the Western Mustangs 3-1 to claim the OUA bronze medal on Sunday, October 27 at York Stadium.

Emma Stairs opened the scoring in the sixth minute, but Western's Megan Duffy evened the score in the 18^th minute. Burlington, Ont., native Lauren Sudac notched the eventual game-winner in the 25^th minute.

Veteran forward Alex Thicke added an insurance marker in the 52^nd minute off a corner to secure the 3-1 victory.

The Guelph Gryphons earned the OUA title with a 4-1 victory over the Waterloo Warriors.
