BLUES FALL IN SEMI-FINAL BATTLE WITH WARRIORS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues field hockey team suffered their first loss of the season, falling 2-0 to the Waterloo Warriors in OUA semi-final action on Saturday (Oct. 26) at York Stadium.

The Blues will face the loser of the Guelph/Western semifinal for OUA bronze tomorrow at 10 a.m.

U of T finished the regular season with an 11-0-1 record, earning a bye into today's semifinal.

Waterloo's Stephanie Snyder notched the eventual game-winner off a corner in the 22nd minute. The third-year forward added her second of the match five minutes later on a penalty stroke.

Despite controlling the play for the majority of the second half, the Blues were unable to find the back of the net and dropped the 2-0 decision.
