STRONG SECOND HALF LIFTS BLUES OVER PALADINS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team scored four second-half goals en route to their third straight win over the RMC Paladins on Wednesday night (Oct. 16) in Kingston, Ont.

With the win, the Blues improve to 5-4-4 and jump into third place in the OUA East, in front of the Laurentian Voyageurs and Queen's Gaels who both have a game in hand.

Veteran striker and co-captain Mario Kovacevic (Woodbridge, Ont.) notched the game-winner in the 74th minute, before first-year midfielder Russell Rodrigues scored his first two career goals in the 80th and 85th minutes.

Veljko Lukovic added an insurance marker in the final minute of play to round out the 4-0 victory.

The Varsity Blues wrap up their 2013 regular season in Ottawa this Sunday, October 20 as they take on the Carleton Ravens. Game time is set for 3:15 p.m.
