The Varsity Blues men’s basketball team went 0-2 as they travelled to Daeman College this weekend (Nov. 2-3) in pre-season action.
 
The Blues fell 105-59 to the host Daemen Wildcats on Friday night before dropping a narrow 94-85 decision to the Point Park Pioneers on Saturday.
 
Veteran guard Alex Hill of Toronto led the Blues with 17 points versus the Wildcats, while Holland Landing, Ont., native Ben Garvin added 11 in the loss.
 
Arun Kumar of Hamilton, Ont., held a hot hand on Saturday afternoon, raking in an amazing 43 points versus the Pioneers.
 
The Varsity Blues return to the court this Friday, November 9 as they host the Guelph Gryphons in their 2012 home opener at the Athletic Centre Sports Gym. Tip off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
