The Varsity Blues men’s soccer team came away with a narrow 1-0 victory over the RMC Paladins on Sunday, October 7 at Inner field.
With the victory, the Blues are once again back to fourth place with a .500 mark at 5-5, while RMC is still a winless 0-9 and sit last in the OUA East division.
The Blues opened up the scoring as first-year striker Adrian Dannel (Maloney Gardens) notched the eventual game-winner, beating Paladins goalkeeper Carter Grantwas in the 30
th minute.
Despite outshooting the Paladins 13-6 throughout the game, the Blues were unable to solve Grant again.
Blues rookie keeper Rab Bruce-Lockhart posted six saves in the shut out victory.
The Varsity Blues return to action this Saturday, October 14 when they host the Ryerson Rams at Varsity Centre. Game time is scheduled for 3:15 p.m.
