Neil D’Silva scored the lone goal of the game to lead the Varsity Blues men’s soccer team to a 1-0 lead over the Queen’s Gaels on Sunday, September 25 in Kingston, Ont.

With the win, the Blues improve to 4-1-1 and move into second place in the OUA East division.

A fourth-year defender, D’Silva broke the scoreless deadlock in the 85th minute, beating Gaels goalkeeper Dylan Maxwell to find the back of the net.

Blues goalkeeper John Smits made four saves in the win.

The Varsity Blues return to the field next Saturday, October 1 as they travel to Sudbury, Ont., to take on the Laurentian Voyageurs.  Game time is 2:15 p.m.
