Jade Sullivan tied the game with a goal four minutes into the second half, and soon following took the lead with another. Guelph played with confidence and had most of the possession on the field. The Gryphons secured their lead with their seventh goal off of a free position shot, taken by Breanne Gillie. The Gryphons captured four more goals before the end of the period – one from a crowd-pleasing shovel shot from Jade Sullivan. The Varsity Blues responded in the last minute of the game with another goal but it was too late. The game finished 11-6.
Shayna Moor was once again named player of the game.
