WOODCROFT LEADS BLUES TO VICTORY

The Varsity Blues field hockey team notched their seventh straight win in a 7-0 victory over the Queen’s Gaels on Saturday, October 1 in Kingston, Ont.

Rookie midfielder Amanda Woodcroft of Waterloo, Ont., scored four goals in the win.

Sophomore forward and Burlington, Ont., native Alexandra Evanyshyn recorded her ninth goal of the season, while veterans Katherine McNeill and Kelley Lusk also added single tallies in the win.

Jessica Aun of Scarborough, Ont., earned the shut out in net.

The Blues are now 7-0 and remain atop the OUA standings in first place.

The Varsity Blues return to the field tomorrow morning as they take on the McGill Martlets in Kingston, Ont.  Game time is set for 9:30 a.m.
