BLUES IMPROVE TO 5-0 WITH DOMINANT WIN OVER RAVENS

The Varsity Blues field hockey team handily defeated the Carleton Ravens 10-0 on Sunday, September 26 in Ottawa.

“We played really well building the attack with great passing,” said Varsity Blues head coach John DeSouza. “The difference today was that we finished in the offensive circle as our goal scorers found their touch.”

North Vancouver, B.C., natives Alex Thicke and Kelley Lusk as well as Alexandra Evanshyn of Burlington, Ont., and Natalie Provenzano (Richmond Hill, Ont.) each tallied two goals, while Katherine McDonald and Siobhan Gordon added one apiece in the victory.

The Varsity Blues return to action next weekend as they head to Guelph to take on the OUA defending champion Gryphons at 9:30 a.m. The Blues also square off against the McGill Martlets later in the day at 1 p.m.
