The Varsity Blues women’s rugby team drew the Trent Excalibur to a 5-5 tie on Friday, September 24 in Peterborough, Ont.

LeeAnne Corrigan scored U of T’s lone try when she opened the scoring late in the first half on a long run down the field.

Trent’s Danielle Julius-Williams put the home team back in contention in the second half. The Blues put up a solid force to the remainder of the game, repeatedly stopping the Excalibur’s pushes around their goal line.

The Varsity Blues return to action next Friday, October 1 when they host the Waterloo Warriors at Back Campus. Game time is scheduled for 1 p .m.
