The Varsity Blues men’s lacrosse team had a tough go of it in 2009, finishing with a regular-season record of 0-10.
The winless season was not reflective of the team’s commitment and effort. The Blues had some hard-fought close games, particularly with both the Carleton Ravens and Queen’s Gaels. Toronto dropped a close 13-9 decision to the Ravens in their first game of the year and fell 11-7 to Queen’s on Oct. 17.
Veteran Mikael Chullen led the team with 14 goals and five assists, while third-year attacker Will Dunlop and midfielder Andrew Kerr had 11 and 12 points, respectively, in 10 games. Mike Ayotte and MarcAnthony Koukoulas also averaged a point per game with 10 total.
