BLUES, RAVENS PLAY TO SCORELESS DRAW

The No. 7 University of Toronto Varsity Blues men’s soccer team played to a 0-0 tie with the Carleton Ravens on Sunday, October 3 at Ravens Field in Ottawa.

Carleton handed Toronto their first loss of the season, a 1-0 decision, last Saturday, September 25. With today’s result, the Blues are 4-1-3 and sit in third place in the OUA East division behind the Queen’s Gaels (5-3-1) and undefeated Ravens (6-0-2).

Both teams had their fair share of scoring chances, with neither able to find the back of the net on this day.

Toronto narrowly outshot Carleton 8-7 with first-year Blues striker Mario Kovacevic of Woodbridge, Ont., leading the way with three shots in 90 minutes of play.

The Varsity Blues return to the field on Friday, October 8 when they host the Laurentian Voyageurs at Varsity Centre. Game time is scheduled for 2:15 p.m.
