BLUES DOWN MUSTANGS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men’s water polo team finished off their undefeated 2008 regular season campaign with a convincing 13-1 victory over the Western Mustangs on Sunday, November 9 at Varsity Pool.

First-year Blues player Milos Radojocic (Toronto) scored two of his four goals in the first three minutes of the game. The Blues dominated offensively the entire game, and put up a solid defensive effort in the victory.

Western spoiled the Blues shut out with four minutes remaining, when Ancaster, Ont. native Adam Frank found the back of the net for the Mustangs lone goal of the game.

Radojcic and Ryan Pallett (Ancaster, Ont.) led the Blues with four goals each. Tanner Regan (Surrey, B.C.) added two while Ryan Speers (Cambridge, Ont.), Paulo Ruiz (Kitchener, Ont.) and Andrew Canale (Toronto) scored one apiece in the victory.

The Varsity Blues finish their 2008 regular season campaign in first place with an undefeated 7-0-1 record. The Blues are ranked first going into the OUA Championships, hosted by Carleton University November 23-24.
