Sarah Boyle successfully defended her national title this weekend and dominated the field en route to her second consecutive women’s high jump gold medal at the 2010 CIS track and field championships at St. Denis Centre in Windsor, Ont.

The 2010 OUA champion and top-ranked female high jumper, Boyle of Scarborough, Ont. missed only three attempts to reach a season-best height of 1.80m to earn her third national title in four years. Alberta’s Lindsey Bergevin cleared 1.72m to finish second for the second straight year, while Boyle’s teammate Laura Maessen earned bronze (1.69m).

The 2010 OUA community service award winner, Boyle was named a first team all-Canadian for her gold-medal national performance.
