Steven Kung knocked down 34 kills and 19 digs to help the Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team climb two spots in the league standings with two huge wins this weekend (Jan. 29-31).
 
The 2008-09 OUA East most valuable player recorded a game-high 17 kills and 12 digs in a 3-1 victory over the York Lions on Friday night to bring the Blues regular-season record to .500 for the first time this season.
 
A Toronto native, Kung then lifted his team into sixth place in the OUA standings with another 17-kill performance on Sunday. The leftside hitter also added seven digs in the 3-0 win over the RMC Paladins.
 
A two-time all-Canadian, Kung is currently ranked second in the OUA with 4.85 points and 4.30 kills per game.
