Fourth-year veteran Tamara Jewett claimed the women’s individual title at the 38th annual Western International at Thames Valley Golf Course in London, Ont.
The Toronto native dominated the 5km race, finishing in 17:39, a full six seconds ahead of McMaster’s Lindsay Carson (17:45).
Jewett, the 2011 CIS cross country silver medal, ran just six seconds shy of the time that won her the OUA title last season.
