Third-year guard Evan Shadkami totaled 40 points as the Varsity Blues went 1-1 in OUA men's basketball action this past weekend.

The kinesiology major from Toronto notched 21 points, five boards, one assist and one steal as the Blues defeated the York Lions 95-81 in U of T's Community Day game on Friday afternoon.

Shadkami followed that up with a team-high 19 points as U of T dropped a narrow 82-77 decision to the No. 10 nationally-ranked McMaster Marauders on Saturday afternoon in Hamilton.
