A third-year multi-event specialist, Rostam Turner won the men’s heptathlon at the Brockport Early Season Classic ,bettering his personal best score with 5246 points. Turner’s previous personal best (5134) earned him the silver medal at last year’s national championships.
The Kelowna, B.C., native finished first in the 60m dash (7.19), long jump (6.90m), shot put (13.90m), high jump (1.85m) and 60m hurdles (8.96), while finishing second in the pole vault (4.24m) and 1000m (2:46.00).
His score also set a new facility record at Brockport.
