Third-year defenceman Justin Brand scored two goals and added one assist in helping the Varsity Blues men’s hockey team to a four-point weekend at home.

A life science major, Brand notched the equalizer and assisted on an insurance marker as the Blues topped the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at Varsity Arena.

The Scarborough, Ont., native also tallied the eventual game-winning goal, firing a shot from the point into the back of the net as Toronto dominated the Laurentian Voyageurs 7-1 on Saturday night.

The Blues currently sit in second place in the OUA West division with a 7-2-0 record.
