Third-year setter Jordan Figueira totaled 71 assists, 11 digs and 10.5 points in leading the Varsity Blues men’s volleyball team to a four-point weekend at home.
Figueria of Oakville, Ont., tallied 33 assists, five digs and 6.5 points off of four aces, two kills and an assisted block as the Blues blanked the Guelph Gryphons 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The commerce major followed that up with 38 assists, six digs and four points (two kills, two aces) in a 3-1 victory over the Waterloo Warriors.
Figueira leads all players in the OUA in serving aces (29) and serving aces per set (0.66), while ranking second in total assists (410) and third in total digs (89). The up and coming Blues have surpassed last season’s win total (7) and currently sit in first place in the East with an 8-3 record.
