Megan Brown reclaimed the women’s individual title at the 2008 CIS Cross Country Championships in Quebec City on Saturday, November 8. The Faculty of Physical Health and Education student also led the Varsity Blues women’s team to a second-place finish.
Brown, a native of Guelph who started her varsity career with the Gryphons, claimed her second individual gold medal in three years, her first win also coming in Quebec City in 2006 as a Varsity Blue.
The 2008 OUA and CIS MVP dominated the nation’s best runners on the Plains of Abraham, completing the five-kilometre event in 17 minutes and 36.8 seconds, 22 seconds faster than her closest rival.
