A second-year outside hitter from Toronto, Alex Barnes accumulated 29.5 points and 10 digs as the Varsity Blues went 1-1 in OUA men’s volleyball action this past weekend.
 
The history major led all players with 17.5 points off of 16 kills and 1.5 blocks, while also adding eight digs as the Blues upset the Ryerson Rams, 3-0, on Saturday night at Mattamy Athletic Centre.
 
Barnes kicked off the weekend with a team-high 12 points, all from kills, and two digs versus Windsor on Friday night. He currently ranks first in both OUA and U SPORTS rankings in kills (4.69) and points (5.2) per set.
