Nirun Sivananthan, a 2015 OUA East all-star, scored one goal and set up another in leading the No. 6 Varsity Blues men’s soccer team to the bronze medal and a CIS championship berth at the OUA Final Four this past weekend (Nov. 7-8) at York Stadium.

The third-year striker from Brampton, Ont., scored in the 36th minute to give Toronto a 2-0 lead over Ryerson at the half. He then set up Antonio Ajhert for an insurance marker in the 52nd minute en route to the 3-0 bronze-medal match victory.

The Blues qualify for their first national championship since 2011 and take on the UBC Thunderbirds in CIS quarter-final action, Thursday at 4 p.m. at York Stadium.
