Second-year standout Evelyn Moorhouse won the women’s open division title at the 2015 Black Knight Canadian university and college championship this past weekend at Executive Fitness and Squash Club in Woodbridge, Ont.
The geology major overcame a two-game deficit to defeat Western’s Holly Delavigne in the final match 5-11, 5-11, 11-6, 12-10, 11-6. Moorhouse earned a spot in the final by defeating teammate Kathryn Milligan in semi-final action 13-11, 14-12, 11-5.
A native of Calgary, Moorhouse went 2-0 in pool play, defeating Natalia Londono 11-8, 11-7, 7-11, 11-7 and Jessica Scott 11-2, 11-7, 11-2.
