Fourth-year goalkeeper Sara Petrucci registered two clean sheets in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s soccer team to a 1-0-1 record in their 2014 season opening weekend.
 
A native of Bolton, Ont., Petrucci notched three saves in a 0-0 draw versus the Laurentian Voyageurs on Saturday, including a spectacular diving save in the 40th minute.
 
The criminology major then posted two saves in a 2-0 victory over the Nipissing Lakers on Sunday, including a solid stop in the 12th minute on Lakers striker Valaine Confesor.
