Maggie Hanlon won three medals in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s track and field team to a silver-medal finish at the 2014 CIS championships, March 6-8, in Edmonton.
In her first season with the Blues, the Master’s of Information student ran the first leg of U of T’s gold-medal winning 4x400 relay as the team crossed the finish line in 3:42.55.
She garnered a silver medal in the 300-metre dash in a time of 39.04 seconds, while also helping the Blues 4x200 relay team to a second-place finish (1:39.20). The Victoria, B.C., native placed seventh in the women’s 60m in 7.59 seconds. Â
Hanlon earned CIS first team all-Canadian honours for her efforts.Â
