Veteran Andrew Wang was awarded the George Tully Trophy as the male fencer most proficient in skill, style and sportsmanship in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues to a bronze medal at the OUA championship this past weekend in Hamilton.

A native of Thornhill, Ont., Wang also earned the Schwende-Tully Trophy as the men’s sabre champion, becoming the first Varsity Blue since 2006 to earn the honour.

The Faculty of Medicine student also led Toronto's men's sabre squad to the team title on Saturday and was named an OUA all-star for his efforts.
