Andrea Jurenovskis picked up two individual gold medals and two additional relay medals as she helped the Varsity Blues women’s swimming team to a second-place finish at the OUA championships this weekend (Feb. 6-8).

The first-year science major placed first in the women’s 50m backstroke in 29.35 second, over a second faster than second-place Heather Martin of the Western Mustangs.

Jurenovskis then swam the 100m backstroke in 1:02.67, a full two seconds ahead of second-place Holly Hopkins of the Brock Badgers.

The Timmins, Ont. native was also a member of the first-place 200m freestyle relay team and second-place 400m freestyle relay team.
