Fourth-year veteran Drew Taylor pitched a near-complete full game as the OUA defending champion Varsity Blues baseball team shut out the Laurier Golden Hawks 3-0 on Sunday, September 9.
The Toronto native struck out five over six innings of work, allowing only two hits in the win. Taylor also opened the season four days earlier against the McMaster Marauders, striking out six in five innings.

The 6-foot-0, 200-pound running back also made three receptions for 21 yards, helping U of T to their first victory over Laurier since Oct. 5, 1996.
