The University of Toronto women's tennis team opened their 2025 campaign with a 7-0 victory over the McMaster Marauders on Sunday (Sept. 7) afternoon at the University of Toronto Scarbrough campus.

The Blues claimed the win in two of three doubles matches to earn the first point of the day, before sweeping all six singles matches to secure the 7-0 win on home court. Third-year industrial engineering student Veronika Podobed and first-year computer engineering major Katherine Zhang shined for the Blues in a doubles victory, while also earning singles wins. Zhang and third-year veteran Noelle Vanasse Wilbert were so impressive in their singles wins, they held their Marauder counterparts pointless in 6-0, 6-0 match results.

Toronto will remain on home turf for another week as they next welcome both the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Saturday (Sept. 13) and Queen's Gaels on Sunday (Sept. 14). First serve for both matches at UTSC is set for 12 p.m.
