Prior to the start of tonight's CUFLA regular season contest, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team stood alongside the Brock Badgers in a ceremony honouring the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The pre-game ceremony for the significant day recognized the ongoing trauma caused by residential schools, and remember those who never returned home, survivors and their families. The national recognition also serves as an opportunity to commit to the process of truth, justice and reconciliation with First Nations, Inuit and Métis across Canada.
Both teams wore orange shirts during warm-ups. Brock would go on to win the contest 14-12 over the Blues.

Once the action on the field began, the home crowd was treated to an exciting start as Brock quickly jumped ahead 6-1 on the scoreboard at the end of the first quarter. U of T attempted to close the gap but would only come within a two-goal margin of drawing even.
For the Blues, third-year attack Daniel Clarke led the way with four goals and one assist. Clarke moved into the CUFLA Top 15 for both goals (10) and points (17) at the official midway point of the regular season. Meanwhile, the trio of Scott Del Zotto, Zach Abu-Ali, and Graham Dicken each registered two goals. Both Ryan Clarke and Alexander May added single markers to round out the Varsity Blues goalscorers. Benjamin Rishikof made 14 saves in net for U of T.
Toronto will now look to a four-game home stand to help leap into the playoff picture. The Blues currently hold a 3-2 record to sit in fourth-place in the CUFLA West division. They next welcome the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks to Varsity Stadium this upcoming Saturday, Oct. 4. Action is set to begin at 7 p.m. Tickets for all Varsity Blues home games are available at
