The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's tennis team defeated the Waterloo Warriors 7-0 at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus on Sunday (Sept. 21) afternoon.

In doubles action, first-year player Lucas Mock and seventh-year Rassam Yazdi, the duo of second-year players Eric Ma and Benjamin Whitley, third-year communications, culture, info & technology student Charles Zheng and first-year industrial engineering student Adam Abboud all won their matches giving U of T the first point of the afternoon.

In singles play, Mock, Yazdi, Whitley, Ma and Zheng all won their matches and in the sixth match of singles play, first-year engineering student Alex Zhang won his match to keep Waterloo off the scoreboard. Five of the six Blues who competed in singles play won their match in two sets.

The Blues are back in action on Sunday (Sept. 28) afternoon when they host the Western Mustangs at UTSC. Opening serve is scheduled for 12 p.m.
