MEN’S TENNIS REMAINS UNDEFEATED WITH WIN OVER QUEEN’S

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's tennis team defeated the Queen's Gaels 6-1 at the University of Toronto Scarborough campus on Sunday (Sept. 14) afternoon.

After splitting the first two matches in doubles play, the Blues duo of fifth-year engineering science student Zackary Wilson and first-year industrial engineering student Adam Abboud won the third and final match to give U of T the first point of the day.

The Blues went on to win 5-1 in singles action with their composure on full display. Seventh-year Rassam Yazdi, second-year Erica Ma and first-years Lucas Mock and Luka Kirigin all won their matches in two sets. Meanwhile, second-year Benjamin Whitley claimed victory in three sets.

The Blues next match is on Saturday (Sept. 20) night when they play the York Lions in North York, Ont. The opening serve is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
