As announced by U SPORTS on Wednesday (Mar. 12) evening ahead of the 2025 U SPORTS Women's Volleyball Championship, Varsity Blues outside hitter Julia Murmann has been recognized as a U SPORTS second-team all-Canadian.
For Murmann, this marks the second consecutive season and third time in her four seasons competing with the Varsity Blues that she has received U SPORTS second team all-Canadian honours. The fourth-year outside hitter was a dynamic force for U of T all season long, helping the Blues both offensively and defensively.
Murmann finished the 2024-25 campaign ranked in the OUA Top 5 in both total kills (267) and total digs (222). She registered double-digit points in all but two of her 20 match appearances during the regular season. Additionally, she notched a new single game career-high 40 digs in a four-set victory versus TMU in late November.
Nationally, Murmann ranked sixth in the entire country averaging 3.76 kills per set and ninth with 4.1 points per set.
