The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team fell 81-71 to the Brock Badgers on Friday (Nov. 7) night at Goldring Centre – Kimel Family Field House.
The Blues shot 35 per cent in the first quarter while the Badgers' 43 per cent, they accelerated in the second quarter, outscoring Brock 27-23. Both teams fought neck-in-neck for every possession in an even battle. Ultimately, Brock pulled away in the fourth quarter, where they shot 43 per cent versus Toronto's 25 per cent.
The Blues were led by first-year guard Mikey Ballout, who notched a game-high 22 points, five rebounds, and two steals. Third-year forward Simeon Jeffers contributed 18 points, two assists, and two steals.
Brock was led by Andrew McKenna with 21 points and six rebounds. Meanwhile, Michael Okeke contributed 10 points and four rebounds.
