The University of Toronto Varsity Blues rowing team saw the women finish sixth and men place seventh at the Canadian University Rowing Championships (CURC) in Montreal this weekend.
The Varsity Blues women recorded a final team score of 43 to place sixth overall in the 28-team field. Meanwhile, the U of T men registered 41 points to finish seventh out of 28 total men's teams with boats in the water in Montreal.
Delivering the top result for the U of T women, the LW4+ crew of Jamie Blunt, Dayun Kong, Sophie Corradini, Olivia Ruffalo and coxswain Emily Boeva reached the A-Final to place fifth overall with a time of 8:09.306.
Achieving an A-Final appearance on the men's side, Jack Bon finished sixth in the Men's 1x, posting a time of 7:49.051 in the Sunday event final.
The national championship marks the conclusion of the fall competition schedule for the Varsity Blues. Training and indoor competitions will continue throughout the winter before the Blues jump back on the water for the annual Toronto-McGill Challenge, scheduled for May 2026 in Toronto.
