The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's tennis team went 1-1 in the opening weekend of the new season, defeating the McMaster Marauders on Saturday (Sept. 7) before falling to the Western Mustangs on Sunday (Sept. 8), with both matches taking place at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus.
Toronto were dominant in their season opener on Saturday afternoon, defeating the visiting Marauders 7-0. Claiming victory in each match, the duo of Tyler Lunaria and Eric Ma were most impressive with an 8-2 doubles win, while Nathan Li earned a perfect 6-0, 6-0 singles victory.
