The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's rugby team defeated the McMaster Marauders 31-0 on Saturday night (Sept. 22) at Ron Joyce Stadium.

With the win, the Blues improve to 1-2 on the season. It marks the second consecutive season that U of T has topped McMaster, after a 24-10 victory in 2023. 

Second-year standout Peter Lin led the Blues with two tries, while rookie Yuta Takahashi scored one try and two conversions in the win.

Veterans Eric Vann and Sungyeon Yeom scored one try apiece, while Matt Olsen kicked one convert on the night. 

The Blues are back in action next Saturday, September 28 when they head north of the city to take on the York Lions.
