Toronto held the edge in penalty corners, securing eight compared to Guelph's two. However, despite their offensive efforts, the Blues were unable to capitalize. Toronto's goalkeeper, Deepi Gill, made a crucial save in the second quarter on Guelph's only shot on goal by forward Sophie Pomeroy, maintaining the shutout. Guelph's goalkeeper, Macy Peters, also held strong, saving a shot from Toronto defender Natalie Anderson in the first quarter.

While the Varsity Blues pressured Guelph late in the game, earning multiple penalty corners in the fourth quarter, they were unable to convert those opportunities into goals. A late shot by Alicia Lung went wide, and time expired with neither team finding the back of the net.
