The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's lacrosse team fell 12-11 in overtime to the McMaster Marauders on Wednesday, September 18 in Hamilton, Ont.

The Blues got out to a 5-1 lead after the first quarter but the Marauders chipped away as Toronto held a 6-4 lead at halftime. McMaster scored four goals in the third quarter and held an 8-7 advantage heading into the fourth.

Down 11-10 with six minutes remaining, Declan McPherson scored for the Blues with 43 seconds to go; however, McMaster's Nick Pospisil netted the overtime game-winner to secure the win for the home team.

Jonathan Murawsky led the Blues with two goals and three assists on the night, while Justin Ranger and Alexander May each had two goals. Daniel Clarke, Christopher McWatt, Graham Dicken, and McPherson added single tallies.

Christopher Williams made 21 saves in the loss.

The Blues are back in action on Monday, September 30 when they travel to St. Catharines, Ont., to take on the Brock Badgers. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
