HALLAM'S HAT TRICK LEADS BLUES IN DOMINANT WIN AT RMC

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team, led by a combined five goals from Niklas Hallam and Quinton Chung, delivered a dominant 8-0 win against the Royal Military College Paladins on September 15, 2024.

Toronto started their barrage early, with midfielder Quinton Chung netting the first goal in the 13th minute, assisted by Patrik Geleziunas. Toronto's offensive power continued as Niklas Hallam scored the first of his three goals in the 30th minute, and Michael Maslanka added one before half.

In the second half, Oliver Barta scored in the 49th minute, Andrea Schifano added a goal of his own, and Chung netted his second. Hallam completed his second hat trick of the season with back-to-back goals in the 60th and 61st minute. Hallam now sits at ten goals in six games.

Toronto dominated with 14 total shots, nine of which on target, while RMC only managed two shots throughout the match. RMC goalkeeper Finn Gregoire made eight saves despite the lopsided scoreline. Toronto's defense eliminated any stress off of goalkeeper Alex Lin's shoulders, who did not face a shot on target all afternoon.

The Blues improve their record to 5-1-0 with this commanding win, while RMC remains fallls to 0-5-0.
Next weekend, Toronto travels to Ottawa to take on the Carleton Ravens on Friday, September 20. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., and the game can be streamed online via oua.tv.
