BLUES FALL ON THE ROAD AGAINST GAELS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's soccer team suffered a tough 3-0 defeat against the Queen's Gaels on Saturday, September 14 in Kingston.

The Gaels struck first just three minutes into the match when Morgan Fenton found the back of the net, with an assist from Lily Gross.

The second half saw the Gaels pull away, scoring two more goals. Mattson Strickler tallied in the 62nd minute, and Morgan Fenton added her second of the game just minutes later to put the game away.

Julia Cristovao of the Blues recorded two shots on goal, but Toronto's three total shots on target were all turned aside by goalkeeper Kirstin Tynan of Queen's.

The Blues fall to 2-2-0 with the loss, and Queen's improves to 3-1-1. Toronto will look to get back in the win column tomorrow (Sept. 15) when they stay in Kingston to visit RMC. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
