In a dominant performance, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team swept the Windsor Lancers 3-0 on Saturday (Nov. 16) at the Toldo Lancer Centre in Windsor.
The Blues delivered a well-rounded game, winning the sets 25-20, 25-19, 25-17 to secure the victory.

Toronto showcased their offensive efficiency with a team hitting percentage of .257 and 41 total kills through the three sets of action. Additionally, their defence also stood strong, recording 39 total digs to keep Windsor's attack in check. The Blues controlled the tempo from the first serve, demonstrating superior play-making and building a larger margin of victory with each successive set.

For the fifth consecutive match, fourth-year outside hitter Julia Murmann recorded the team-high for the Blues, notching 13 total points from 12 kills and one service ace, adding six digs defensively. Second-year outside hitter Giulia Chimilovski added 10 kills and two blocks, while third-year middle Thea Ziesmann was extremely efficient at the net contributing six kills on a .385 hitting percentage. Fifth-year setter Robin Melnick orchestrated the offence with 36 assists, marking a fifth match this with over 30 assists registered. Second-year libero Delaney Watson anchored the defence with another double-digit dig performance, notching a team-high 10 digs.

For the Lancers, Aliah Admans once again was a standout with nine kills and 10 digs, while Danika Scharff facilitated the Windsor offence and defence with 24 assists and a game-high 11 digs..
