The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's basketball team faced a challenging game against the Western Mustangs tonight (Nov. 16), falling 85-57.Â

Second-year guard Raya Hafez led the Blues offense, scoring 16 points on 7-15 shooting, including two three-pointers. Rookie guard Lia Barbieri added nine points and showed defensive hustle with three steals. In addition, first-year forward Zi Yang Wang made a strong contribution off the bench, scoring six points and leading the team in rebounds with seven.

Toronto's free-throw shooting was a bright spot during the game, hitting 81.8% of their attempts, and they showed resilience on the glass with 46 total rebounds, including 14 offensive boards.
